You may freeze macaroni and cheese after baking at a temperature that's cool enough so it doesn't become mushy when defrosted, which is ideally below room temperature. Here are some tips for freezing macaroni and cheese: 

 
  • Cool completely: Allow the macaroni and cheese to cool completely before freezing.
  • Use a freezer-safe container: Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a freezer-safe container or separate it into smaller containers.
  • Cover tightly: Cover the container tightly with aluminum foil or two layers of plastic wrap.
  • Store in the coldest section: Place the container in the coldest section of your freezer.

 

To reheat frozen macaroni and cheese, you can bake it in a 350°F oven or toaster oven until warmed through.
